“Hey my name is Madison McKinley. I’m an actor and a model. I live here in Brooklyn. I grew up in Vail, CO. I was going to school everything was planned as normal, and then I got very lucky and picked up a modeling contract. So less school and kind of set out on the road and that was the beginning of where I am now.
So a lot of times you have to make moves and kind of go where the work is. So right now I’m living in New York, but setting out, moving again, picking up my roots, moving to L.A., moving back and forth a bit, trying the entire bi-coastal idea.
And I try to get a bit of exercise in. So I keep my body in shape. That’s a very important part of what I do, and have a little bit of energy for the day. But then I expect a call’s going come in fairly early from my agent. And they tell you what the day consists of, the castings or auditions, and you have to get ready for each one. You have to know what you’re going to have to do. You have to plan the outfit for it, the look for it. There are lines. You need to memorize them, and get ready for everything. So there’s kind of a lot that goes into it, and then you pack your enormous bag for the day. And you know, a large bottle of water, because you’re going to be running everywhere.
I’ve traveled all over the world and lived by myself. Which sounds just fabulous, but it’s lonely. The work’s really hard, but it’s such a lucky, lucky strike for me to be able to find this. It’s been such an opportunity.
At the end of a long day, if I’m not too exhausted and everything’s gone well. I usually get together with a couple of my friends, and there’ll be something fashionable and fun for us to go to. Oh and it’s 2:00 AM, I haven’t retouched the make-up. I’d say I’m impressed. Night.” EnewsOf.com
